Meet the Bands
Matt Papa Band
Matt Papa BandHe may only be 23-years-old, but Matt Papa possesses a maturity in both his artistry and spirituality well beyond his years. Perhaps that's why this accomplished singer/songwriter and musician has been leading worship since age 14 and has been touring the country upon graduating college, working with organizations such as Student Life, Campus Crusade for Christ, Georgia Baptist Convention, Ohio Baptist Convention, David Nasser Outreach, Wayfarer Ministries, and SWAT Ministries. All the while, the Georgia-bred troubadour with a degree in guitar performance from Truett-McConnell College has been continuously refining his craft, ministering to sizeable audiences and gearing up for his forthcoming debut, You Are Good, on new label Spin 360.

The Museum
The MuseumAmerican bands don’t usually name themselves after events surrounding the twentieth century Romanian revolution, but how BEC Recordings’ newest signing would come to be known as The Museum is indicative of what’s on display in this compelling foursome. The group took shape when singer Ben Richter and guitarist Geoffrey Ashcraft moved from Texas to Georgia and plugged into a church where drummer/programmer Josh Kirk was the janitor. Soon they were leading local worship services together and then traveling on musical mission trips overseas. In Romania, Josh was deeply moved to be part of a large Christian gathering in the same town square where communism had been overthrown in 1989. A nearby museum containing humble evidence of that revolution also left an indelible impression. “We decided the band would be called The Museum,” Josh says, “because we hope our music and those we share it with can be the evidence that Christ has done a revolution in our hearts.”

Living Anthem
Matt Papa BandThe word Anthem means “a song or hymn of praise”. Collectively and as individuals it is our heart’s cry to not only lift up God through song but with every aspect of our lives. We are striving to lead the church in the pursuit for us to all live our anthem! Furthermore, worship through song is an important way in which people connect with the heart of God! We see it throughout history. Followers of Jesus have been lifting up His name with music since the early church. We are simply wanting to join in and invite others to be a part of the ongoing and eternal symphony; whether it’s through leading for a church service, camp, festival or coffee shop crowd of 5 people. We are driven by the reality that when God shows up lives are changed. Our desire is to see God move in our churches, our cities and in our world. It’s the reason we are a band.
